SCREW ANet and GUild Wars....come on!!!!....so if you play an hour or 2 a day your NOT ELITE...cause you don't have time to find a group that can even stay alive 5 minutes....just make the whoole damn game PvP that's what you want anyways. I'm about ready to PAY monthly for a WoW account.
You made the ENTIRE Nightfall experience playable with heroes...now the ELITE mission is tooooooooo damn hard for a casual player a a group of say four friends with elite heroes!!!!

Wow, the whining is getting worse and worse, sounds like the last few pages are full of 8 year olds crying.
I spent all last night and all of today exploring DoA and doing the primary quests with guildies. It's starting to wear on me given the fact that after all that time was spent we still have no finished any of the 4 parts of the primary quest. I still do not ask for a nerf, as I felt the exact same way about Urgoz and the Deep when I first started playing them.
It seems trappers and SF are the only groups having any success which worries be a bit, I don't want to see DoA turn into Tombs were all you can do is join a B/P group if you have a ranger, monk or necro. I am with the people who worry about discrimination.
:edit: and if you didn't know, Gaile herself confirmed their was a specific build that can travel the Domain of Anguish with ease and complete all the quests and missions, so you can no longer say it's impossible :P

DoA?More like Meh.I'm all for difficulty,but only when thats reasonable.
Not the type of difficulty that wipes a party not even a minute into the map.Because this place is going to be just like UW,FoW,The Deep,Urgoz,Tombs and SF.A primary build will be established and all of the other classes will be driven to extinction.

i finished part of it with the frost build...
Monk Backline
==============
1 bonder
1 active prot
1 healer mixed bar (prot spirit included)
2 Nukers
1 Ranger CG/Winter/Symbiosis
1 Tank
1 Bip Necro
all but the bonder need mantra of frost(mes skill)
take a good agro control warrior.
seems to work good, reduced dmg from frost helps the monks alot

Build, singular?
While I think there may be some interesting combinations of builds that might work, and quite remotely a build out there I will personally scoff at the
"with ease"
statement.

sometimes, I wonder what Anet is thinking..
They nerfed hundreds builds 'cause they slowed down the game, or 'cause they were overused..
and yet they manage to create areas like this.
the game in there is not nervous at all, progressing is so laborious it hurts, we already now that there will only be a handfull of team builds that will bring us far, and the worse is, what i've seen of the scenery so far is not what i would call magnificent.
Too bad they only care about balance when it comes to pvp.

Sorrow's Furnace was impossible. After a few weeks, teams of more than 5 were very uncommon.
Most Tombs teams didn't make it past the first map. After a bit, it was a contest to see if you could run Tombs in less than an hour and 10 minutes.
Urgoz wiped out most teams in minutes. After a few weeks, we were experimenting with 4 person teams.
DoA is insanely hard. Let's whine and cry and get Anet to make it easier for us.

Well, here's the thing - there needs to be a skill barrier somewhere. People were complaining that Gate of Madness is too hard for newbies, and that it should be toned down because it's part of the normal storyline, blah blah blah. That argument doesn't apply here. The Domain of Anguish is supposed to be the most difficult area in the game, and it's not part of the normal storyline. The only thing that Anet is really compelled to give you is *equal access* to the area. Actually beating the area is up to you.
I'd be perfectly happy if most people simply stopped playing this area, either out of frustration, protest, etc. That means the loot drops and whatnot will be distributed amongst a smaller group of good players, as they should be. Unfortunately, I have no doubt that there will soon be gimmick builds that allow even the worst players to finish this area. But until then, I'm happy to enjoy the difficulty and relatively n00b-free environment.
